Step-by-step Measurement Guide

Let's start with the basics.


 


NECK (1 / 18)

Measure around your adam's apple with one finger under the tape. The tape should feel comfortable.

SHOULDERS (2 / 18)

Measure from the shoulder bone on your left shoulder across to the right to the other shoulder bone.

SLEEVE LENGTH (3 / 18)

First, locate your wrist. Then, start measuring from your shoulder bone, stop at the elbow and continue to the wrist. Follow the contour of your arm.

BICEPS (4 / 18)

Measure snug but not cutting-off-circulation-snug around the fullest part of an unflexed biceps.

WRIST (5A / 18)

Measure around your bare wrist. Snug but comfortable.

WRIST + WATCH (5B / 18)

Put on your watch. Measure around your wrist with the watch and one finger under the tape. If you don't wear a watch put 0".

CHEST (6 / 18)

Place the tape measure under your armpits and measure around the widest part of the chest, the nipples. Measure sung but comfortable.

CHEST WIDTH (7 / 18)

Let your arms hang. Start where your left arm touches your body and measure accross the nipples to the other side. Stop where the armpit starts on the other side.

SHOULDER BLADES (8 / 18)

Now, move to the back. Arms are still hanging. Start from the left armpit and measure accross the shoulder blades to the other side. Stop where the armpit starts.

TORSO (9 / 18)

Measure rigth above the stomach with one finger under the tape.

STOMACH (10 / 18)

Measure around the belly button with one finger under the tape.

WAIST (11 / 18)

Measure around the waist of your pants with one finger under the tape.

JACKET LENGTH (12 / 18)

Back to the top of you body: start from the highest point of your shoulder. Continue straight down to the second thumb nuckle.

HIPS (13 / 18)

Locate both of your hip bones and measure with one finger under the tape.

U-RISE (14 / 18)

If you're not wearing pants, put them on now. Start at the back of the pants. Bring the tape measure underneath, to the top of your pants in the front. It should feel comfortable "everywhere".

THIGH (15 / 18)

Measure around your thigh with one finger under the tape.

KNEE (16 / 18)

Measure around your kneecap with one finger under the tape.

PANTS LENGTH (17 / 18)

Slip into your favorite work shoes. Start at your hips. Continue straight down to the top of the heel of your shoe.
